Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles (BGCMLA) is a scalable and sustainable solution to reversing the opportunity crises facing some of the most vulnerable youth in marginalized neighborhoods of Los Angeles. BGCMLA is designed to increase programmatic offerings and to serve a more significant number of youth in the areas of Metro Los Angeles. Our mission is to create a safe space that empowers all Club members to learn, explore, achieve, and dream.
We fulfill our mission by offering nationally recognized, research-based programs and activities in three core areas: Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles. We believe in empowering youth to explore a future with endless possibilities by offering creative programs, such as new approaches to science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), sports and recreation, music, and the arts created in collaboration with our community partners. The individual Clubs which presently make up BGCMLA have a deep history of impact in the most vulnerable areas of Los Angeles County. Our collaboration of Clubs includes the following Boys & Girls Clubs: Challengers, Watts/Willowbrook, Bell Gardens, and Venice. Patrick brings to Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles over 20 years of non-profit management and strategic development experience. Patrick started his management career in market research and management consulting where he helped guide major telecoms on their expansion into media, leading him to an executive role at Disney/ABC TV.
As Chief Financial Officer, Rocio brings over twenty-four years of Finance and Operations experience to the team. Rocio is an accomplished executive with experience in finance, human resources, operations, information technology and facilities. With a focus on enhancing policies, boosting performance, and strategic planning, Rocio is committed to empowering nonprofits to thrive.
Veronica Jimenez, provides oversight and leadership. She has an M.A. in Public Administration from CSU, Long Beach, and a B.A. in Sociology/Administrative Studies from UC Riverside. Veronica has over 16 years of experience working with low-income families, and over twelve years of experience in Boys & Girls Clubs.
As Vice President of Resource Development, Kimberly brings over seven years of development experience to the team. Having a deep personal commitment for advancing the lives of underserved children, Kimberly has shaped the fundraising initiatives of Boys & Girls Club Metro Los Angeles (BGCMLA) through her strategic vision, expansion of vital fundraising programs and securing transformational gifts that ensure the Clubs’ sustainable growth.
Michelle Chinchilla has worked within the Boys & Girls Club movement since 2012. A strong believer in post-secondary studies, she has an M.A in Education from CSU, Long Beach and a B.A in Ethnic Studies from UC San Diego.
